Every debutante is accompanied by family and friends eager to immortalise the moment. The cameras come out, camcorders roll, the flash of photo bulbs illuminates the scene throughout the evening. Every year has also seen a professional photographer present at the ball to document the poise and gaiety of the evening, to archive the faces and elegance which characterise the Helicon Ball.
